Life in the Navy
Not Just a Job . . .
I have been a part of the Navy, either as an enlisted Electrician's Mate, a midshipman, a submarine officer, a dependent (Navy spouse), or a Judge Advocate General officer (JAG), since 1982. It has been the most rewarding, most exciting career I could ever have imagined.
Mary started out military life as a US Marine (ooh rah). She served nearly 11 years in the Marine Corps before transferring to the Navy to serve as a Navy Nurse in 1996. Now, 10 years later, she is already eligible for a full military retirement. But don't count on her leaving just yet. She doesn't want me to outrank her, so she has to stay!
